Welcome To The World, Baby!

So, August 19th 2013 it is! In Puri Galeri Maternity Hospital at 07.58 you were born! I had to undergo Sectio Cesarean to get you to this awesome colorful world. It was supposed to happen because my retinas are too thin for me too push you through. I am hyper myopia. Apparently it will come off if I push too hard. Ewww. But then, the water broke too early even before any dilation happened. So you were born sc because of those two reasons.

I did WANT to have you normally, first because I think everyone is supposed to be born naturally (I mean, what about our ancestors back in the day when sectio cesarean is still not available? They are alive! They are, aren't they?), second because the thought of being under the knife is horrifying. I couldn't even bear a paper-cut. Let alone being cut open in the stomach. But well, I managed to stay very calm right before and during the process. It can be the joy for finally seeing you, or the anesthetic the nurses gave me, or just simply the natural feeling of a mother in labor, or it might the mix of all those together.

Oh, and I'm telling you. They gave me this anesthetic shot to my spine. Yes, my spine. I thought it would feel like hell, but the initial labor contraction took my focus from the needle IN my spine.

Your Papa filmed the surgery process from the first cut until you were born. I Intended to put the video with this post, but I guess I should think it over, and maybe I'll put it in another post one day. By the way, it took me one week after your birth day to finally watch (from a distance) the video. And it took me two (or more) weeks to finally look at my surgery wound. I just didn't have the guts and except for the post-surgery pain, I pretended nothing was being cut open.

You were 2950 gram and 49 cm and cried really really loud when you came out. It was such a relieve to hear your voice, honey! And when I said loud I mean loud :D You were one very strong baby girl!

Welcome to the world, Amora!
May you have an awesome and colorful journey!
And remember, anytime you find the world is too overwhelming for you, we are here to hug you!

*Oh, in the exact same time, your auntie, Mami Cicik is also on labor, and your cousin Dzaky was born 16 hours away from you. So, your Oma and Opa had to rush back and fort between Puri Galeri and Panti Nirmala Hospital that day. Later on, Oma was exhausted and got sick.
